Publicist. Writer. Consultant. DJ. Host.
Chanel Kadir is a London-based publicist, writer, creative consultant, DJ, and host with over a decade of experience shaping narratives at the intersection of music, art, sport, and culture.
Chanel is the founder and editor of Untitled 909, a respected music platform and community hub specialising in championing artistic voices within the underground. Launched in 2017, Untitled 909 is also a bi-monthly radio show on Refuge Worldwide which will be turned into a podcast series this year. To tie in with the ninth anniversary, Untitled 909 organised local takeovers in Paris, Berlin and London to spotlight the most exciting voices within each city’s scene, teaming up with radio stations such as Lithium Radio, Kindred Radio and Refuge Worldwide. The platform will be expanding into an event series in the coming months with the aim to team up with promoters and collectives in different cities to bring together communities and nurture deeper connections between the stories they tell and those who participate in the scene. Following the landmark feature on the French low end psychedelia scene in 2025, Untitled 909 will be building upon this series in the coming years to highlight the global impact of one of the most exciting sounds of the 2020s.
As a music publicist, she currently serves as Director of Dawn. Creative Agency and was previously the Head of Press at Boiler Room, leading on global communications strategies and creative campaigns.
Chanel has previously worked on a podcast series for Draaimolen festival where she dived deeper into the narratives weaved within the lineup of their 2024 festival including interviews with Eris Drew & Octo Octa, Architecture Social Club, Blawan & Pariah, Mama Snake & Martinou and Kikelomo & A Song For You Choir. Chanel was the curator of WAV.WORLD - a platform that aimed to give the mix series the attention it deserves whilst creating a more sustainable practice for those evolved - and the co-founder of G-FORCE, a mix series connecting F1 and music through race-influenced mixes and interviews with international DJs.
Whether writing, curating, or consulting, Chanel’s work is driven by a commitment to amplify new voices and challenge creative boundaries across disciplines.
